This can be due to several things. Here are a list of things you can try to solve the problem:
- Bring the scale closer from your router and try again.
- Make sure your smartphone is connected to WiFi 2.4 GHz. If you have a dual band router, you may need to temporary turn off WiFi 5GHz (the time to install the scale). If your dual band router broadcasts both WiFi (2.4 and 5GHZ) using the same SSID and same password, you may need to temporary set up a dedicated SSID for each WiFi frequency to be certain to connect your smartphone to WiFi 2.4GHz to successfully install the scale on your home WiFi network.
- Make sure there isn't special characters in your SSID and that your SSID is less than 32 characters.
Note - Capital letters in SSID can generate troubles for some router. You may need to try to set up SSID without capital letters.
- If you configured a white-list on your router, make sure to add the MAC address of the HS5 scale in this white-list.
