If you get an abnormal result, remove your finger from the oximeter. Replace it and take another measurement.
Make sure you follow the precautions for use.
Check that your finger is correctly positioned in the oximeter:
- Check the direction of the oximeter (button towards the inside of the hand).
- The fingernail should be positioned above the light beam emitter. Depending on the size of your finger, you will need to insert your finger more or less into the oximeter.
- Do not place the oximeter on your thumb. Use your index or middle finger instead.
Do not move during the measurement.
Wait a few seconds for the measurement to stabilise before pressing the button or removing the oximeter to record the result.
Do not take a measurement on a nail covered in varnish or on a damaged nail, as these will block the passage of the light beams.
The oximeter's operating range is between 5°C and 40°C. If the device is exposed to a temperature outside this range, keep it for 30 minutes at an ambient temperature of between 5°C and 40°C before taking another measurement.
Check that the transmitter and receiver are clean. If necessary, clean them with a wipe or cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol (70%).
